A year at our school
"We have been part of the GBPS school community for many years, and I truly cannot speak highly enough of our experience.
The tone is set from the top down by the Principal, who shows genuine care and kindness toward every one of the students. You can often find her at the front gate greeting families and children with a welcoming smile or high-five, creating an environment where our kids are excited and happy to come to school each day.
GBPS excels in providing a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities. Whether your child is into sport, dance, music, technology - there is literally something for everyone to get involved in. Teachers give up their own time to run these extra groups so that kids get the opportunity to participate in programs they may not otherwise be exposed to.
The school also offers fantastic wellbeing initiatives like ‘Gymea Guardians’ where big kids look out for little kids on the playground encouraging kindness and inclusivity to ensure safe and friendly break times.
The teaching staff are professional, quality educators who nurture not only the academic needs of their students but also their social emotional needs. Teachers are approachable, fun and invested. My kids come home from school happy because they are in classrooms with kind teachers who create kind classrooms.
Finally, the office staff are also incredibly lovely and helpful. They know the children by name, always have a chat when we visit the front office, and nothing is ever a bother for them.
